Our mission is dedicated to improving the lives of others, by remembering the life of one.

Hello & Welcome!

At the age of 47, Jody Earl Rife unexpectedly passed away in his home in Waterloo, Ia. on Monday, October 29th, 2007.  Jody was born to John E. Rife, Sr. and Shirley Mae Washington Rife-Davis in Milwaukee, WI on April 8th, 1960.  Later, his mother, older brother, and he relocated to Cedar Rapids, where Jody attended and graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Class of 1978.  Jody then continued his education and enrolled in the Communications / Media program at Kirkwood Community College.

For all of us who were blessed to know Jody, knows Jody loved to be the center of attention and to make people laugh; he always had a smile on his face and loved to meet new people.  But one of Jody's greatest admirations was to have the ability to help others.  For Jody, this admiration wasn't measured in a monetary value but treasured in a hand-shake.  That is why The Jody Earl Rife Memorial Fund was founded.

The Jody Earl Rife Memorial Fund is a nonprofit organization that's main goal is to improve the lives of others by remembering the life of one.  With your donation, The J.E.R. Memorial Fund awards scholarships to students with a 2.5 GPA or higher from single family homes.
